Having a tough time selecting bridesmaids’ dresses when everyone’s height, shape, coloring, age and style are different?  Remember, you don’t have to put them all in the very same dress.  Some alternatives:

• Pick a color and have each of them pick a dress in that color in a style that suits them
• Select a shape that would work for all the bridesmaids and order it in different colors
• Vary the style of the dress, for instance, sleeved or sleeveless or strapless or one-shouldered

Of course, you want to find dresses that are affordable, and, if possible, that they can wear again.

Get wedding planning tips from the wedding of reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.  If you pick up the latest edition of Us Weekly magazine, you’ll see details of their April 25th wedding in Pasadena, California.  Here are some of the ideas that you can steal:

• Wedding colors were white and yellow.  The flowers were cream and yellow daffodils and calla lilies.  The bridesmaids wore yellow dresses while two flowers girls wore white dresses with yellow sashes.

• There were two receptions, the second one included familyonly and close friends.  Both had multi-tiered wedding cakes.

• Heidi wore a custom drop-waist Monique Lhuillier dress for her ceremony, changed to a short, strapless white Stella McCartney dress for the first reception, then changed to a white Juicy Couture tracksuit, with “Mrs. Pratt” embroidered on the back, for the second reception.  All clothes were white.
